Samsung to sell 10m Galaxy S4 in a month, compared to 5m iPhone 5 in three days

It's annoying enough that Apple gets criticised for only selling 5 million iPhones in the three days of its launch weekend. Now, just to add to our exasperation, there are suggestions that Samsung has done a good job if it manages to sell 10 million Galaxy S4 phones in 28 days.
How is that fair!
A Business Insider report, citing one in the Korea Times, even goes so far as to suggest that if Samsung meets its target set by Samsung's chief legal counsel Kim You-chul and sell 10 million by the end of the month, it will make it the fastest selling smartphone in Samsung's history.
Fortune points out that the same Business Insider reporter wrote that the iPhone 5 opening weekend sales were worse than the expected 6-10 million sales.
Apple Insidernotes that when the iPhone 5 launched Apple only shipped to nine countries, while Samsung's figures include phones shipped to 60 countries.
One reason for the poor sales of the Galaxy S4 may be that Samsung sells more low cost models. This is why it sells more smartphones than Apple, and yet it makes less profit.
"Shipments of Samsung's high end Galaxy S4 therefore only account for about 14 percent or 1/7th of its smartphone shipments," notes Apple Insider.
Analysts suggest that half of iPhone sales are of the iPhone 5 – of course even that raises concerns in reporting warped in favour of Samsung.
